Breaking News: United Nations Says Fiji Tells UN That Elections Must Be Delayed

In brief, it confirms what many have already suspected, that Bainimarama will not go ahead with free and fair elections by March 2009. Despite not holding fair and free elections as agreed, he insists he is “committed to breaking the cycle of bad and unjust governance which Fiji has suffered.” he appears to take no responsibility for the cancelled elections.
