Fa’afili banned for three weeks

Leeds Carnegie centre Henry Fa’afili has been banned for three weeks after being sent off whilst on international duty with Samoa last weekend.

The centre was sent off in the second half of Samoa’s loss to Italy for a high tackle and has now been banned for three weeks.

He will miss this Friday’s clash with Harlequins in the Guinness Premiership at Headingley Carnegie and Leeds’ next two games in the Amlin Challenge Cup against Romanian side Buceresti Oaks.

He will be back available for selection for the trip to Newcastle Falcons in the Guinness Premiership on Sunday 27th December.

Commenting on the news Director of Rugby Andy Key said, “This is disappointing news for Henry. He has never previously been sent off in his career and he is sorry for his actions. Unfortunately, we will be without him for the next three games but I am sure he will come back stronger from this.”
